A New Chapter: Welcome to Monarch Cottage!
If you’ve been following along or picking up fresh flower bouquets at our local pop-ups, you might notice a fresh new look around here. After lots of thought, heart, and quiet mornings out in the dirt, I’m so excited to share that Brighter Day Flower Farm is officially becoming Monarch Cottage!
When I first started growing and sharing flowers right here in Lakeville, my goal was simply to bring a little extra brightness to everyday life through seasonal blooms. But over the last few seasons, something wonderful happened out in the garden.
As I’ve expanded the growing beds and planted more native perennials, our little plot of land has completely come alive. Every single day, I watch monarchs drift gracefully between the snapdragons and zinnias, alongside a whole bustling community of bees and other native pollinators. They’ve practically become my coworkers.
Standing out there surrounded by those wings and blossoms made me realize that this space is evolving into something bigger. A “cottage” always feels like a welcoming place where things are gathered, crafted, and made by hand. It’s cozy, it’s rooted in nature, and it leaves the door wide open for all the creative projects I love – from our signature local flower bouquets and custom event florals to the hand-poured soy candles and botanical home goods I’ve been crafting.
That migration toward a new name also brought a deeper purpose to light. Inspired by the many monarchs and pollinators visiting the garden since day one, my ultimate dream for Monarch Cottage is to build a business that gives back directly to the creatures that inspire it. As we grow, a portion of our sales will go toward supporting pollinator and monarch conservation efforts, helping to protect and restore the natural habitats they rely on. Every candle lit and every locally grown bouquet shared will help feed and shelter the very pollinators that make this farm possible.
What This Rebrand Means for You:
- Fresh Local Blooms: We are still your local source for seasonal cut flowers, farmer’s market bunches, and fresh flower pick-ups right here in the Lakeville and Twin Cities south metro area.
- Handmade Botanicals: Alongside our flowers, you can now look forward to a growing line of small-batch, hand-poured botanical candles inspired by the garden.
- Custom Event Florals: We are continuing to offer custom floral design and centerpieces for local events, celebrations, and weddings.
