Bringing Fresh Blooms & Local Bread Together: Four Weeks of Success!
I can hardly believe it. I have officially spent four wonderful weeks bringing fresh-cut flowers to the weekly Sota Dough pickup! It has been such a joy to hear your feedback and see how much you love pairing amazing local sourdough bread with seasonal, locally grown flowers from right here in Lakeville, MN.

A Lesson in Scaling
When I launched my first-ever pickup, I showed up with 27 bouquets. I was so excited, but I quickly learned a major lesson: building a micro flower farm is a marathon, not a sprint.
Since then, I have been navigating the delicate balance of providing enough flowers for everyone while ensuring I don’t overcommit. It’s a constant learning process of finding the perfect volume, ensuring I have enough beautiful stems to share without burning out. It has been a whirlwind of a first year, but seeing these flowers find homes in your kitchens has made every bit of that effort worth it.
This Week’s Harvest
Because I grow everything right here in my micro-farm, the selection changes every single week depending on what is blooming. Right now, I am focusing on some of my favorite seasonal varieties, including snapdragon, specialty zinnias, sunflowers, .

Why Stop By?
For those who haven’t visited the pickup yet, here is what you need to know:
- Location: We are located near Orchard Lake (exact address provided upon reservation).
- Timing: While dates can vary, you can usually find us there on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.
- The Goods: While the bread is primarily available via pre-reservation, there are often first-come, first-serve loaves, cookies, jams, and other handmade goodies available to round out your haul.

Can’t Make it on Thursdays?
In addition to our Thursday pickups, I am always happy to schedule a bouquet pickup directly at my home in Lakeville (near Brackett’s Country Club). Whether you are looking for a locally grown bouquet for a gift, or specific stems for an event, please feel free to reach out. If you have any floral needs, you can reach out anytime at kristy@brighterdayfarms.com.
Thank you all for supporting Brighter Day Flower Farm and helping make this first year such a success. I truly appreciate the community that has grown around these bouquets!
